With reported incidents in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park increasing, a new approach to security was necessary. Khalil, as part of the team, recovered multiple weapons, saved lives that required CPR and even took time to support a non-verbal disabled victim of hate crime. His extensive passion, commitment and outstanding results to reduce crime has significantly improved the park’s security and visitor safety.

Ayat is an exceptional store detective whose role is to observe, deter and arrest those engaging in criminal activity. With time management, embracing new technology and a positive attitude, Ayat’s dedication has seen him working to develop intelligence and create an intervention plan against an organised crime group. His work sees him regularly awarded as a Detective of the Month, due to his phenomenal return on investment.

Monika Konkolova Mitie

Playing a vital role in ARC centres, Monika’s driven performance has protected Sainsbury’s colleagues and security officers. In particular, she swiftly dealt with two major incidents involving machetes – her quick reactions ensuring that emergency personnel were swiftly on-sight to apprehend the assailant. Excelling in both performance and delivery, Monika’s safeguarding has set a remarkable standard for the workforce. 

Paul Lavery Westgrove Group

Paul’s tireless work into protecting visitors of the St John’s Shopping Centre in Liverpool, along with the wider community, ensures safety. He has recently received an award from the Liverpool BID for intelligence sharing, and often supports local police with intel, even locating and providing CCTV footage to identify key suspects in a stabbing case. 

Stephanie Laverty & John Paul Larrson Securitas UK

Stephanie Laverty and John Paul Larrson as Security Trained Assistance and Reception Services (STARS) have displayed exceptional dedication and professionalism in their roles. Undeterred by any obstacles, Stephanie and John Paul have persisted through challenges, embodying professionalism and customer-centric service.

Polly Webb SGS

Since joining the SGS team, Polly has implemented subtle but important changes to the security operation, including tightening up pass security, out-of-hours meeting room checks, upgrading computers, and organising and checking keys. Her attention to customer service, detailing and innovative problem solving has improved the overall security within SGS offices.  

Nationwide Building Society & Mitie Mitie

Working collaboratively, Mitie Fire & Security and Nationwide’s Property Performance Centre have managed vetting, branch access approval, PPM scheduling and task bundling – all to ensure barriers to successful deliveries are removed. Through strategic meetings, CheckMyCCTV software and practical scenario testing, the team expertly monitors out-of-hours attacks, conducts remote maintenance and commissioning of CCTV and invests highly into technology. 

Carla Couto Mitie

Displaying an excellent level of customer service and professionalism, Carla is a friendly and polite colleague that greets everyone and always puts others first. In one particular instance, Carla helped an individual who was lone working; falling ill on shift and requiring medical assistance. Due to her persistence and quick thinking, the issue was not too serious, and the worker was treated promptly. 

Monika Broda Mitie

As a skilled CCTV operator, Monika has ensured the safety of individuals through inspiring and guiding M&S SOC operators to improve their results and communication with stores. Various stakeholders have commended her for her efforts in controlling crime and making store colleagues feel safer, and her dedication and expertise has fostered a collaborative and supportive environment within the SOC.

Lindzey Thomas Vigilance

As an exceptional member of the team, Lindzey has provided outstanding services to valued clients. With an instrumental work ethic, she has utilised her knowledge and experience to lead and grow her team. Lindzey recently set up a keyholding service at several vacant property sites, ensuring they were regularly inspected and finding solutions to issues.
