Tell us your story: Best Team
How can you define a team and what makes it work?
As Andrew Carnegie put it "Teamwork is the ability to work together toward a common vision. The ability to direct individual accomplishments toward organizational objectives. It is the fuel that allows common people to attain uncommon results."
In 2018, our five finalists demonstrated enthusiasm and motivation for their duties. Some encountered gang attacks, mass evacuations, foiling thefts and averting suicide attempts.
But the winner of the 2018 award for Best Team went to Pennine Acute Hospital, Mitie for dealing the aftermath of the horrific events that unfolded in the Manchester Arena Attack last year. This team went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure the smooth running of the hospital on a night when the North West came to a standstill. Tirelessly they worked to escort the emergency services in and around the hospital, moving patients around and comforting their families.
This team proves Luccock’s famous quote "No one can whistle a symphony. It takes a whole orchestra to play it."
A team needs to win this award in 2020. Your team should. Nominations are now open.
