Outstanding Act

From time to time, an unusual and difficult situation may arise which tests security personnel to the full in terms of their skills, initiative, and their ability to act speedily, appropriately and possibly in a dangerous situation. 

Examples include dealing with a violent individual; using detection skills to solve a crime; fighting a fire; performing life-saving first aid; preventing an individual from committing suicide.

The achievement must have taken place between 30 November 2018 and 31 December 2019 inclusive. This form must be completed and returned by 1 May 2020, including any additional  documents

Outstanding Act

The Outstanding Act award is to recognise an officer(s) for dealing with an unusual and difficult situation which tests their skills, initiative, and their ability to act speedily, appropriately and possibly in a dangerous situation.


Entries open on open on 4 January 2022 and close on 21 March 2022. Regional winners will be announced on 13 April 2022.  Regional winners are automatically entered into the national finals, which take place on 29 June.
